Transfer Rumour Malick Fofana

Jimmy is last year nextt season as was a 5 year deal in Summer 22 so tbh he would fetch a semi decent fee too with 2 years left. If we are thinking that way then that could help us spend a few more bob but stay within our limits

It's sad as I really like Garner, but just think his time here has been barred by injuries and changing managers and positions, at the age where he needed to be getting established in one.

Think ultimately it hurt his development pretty badly.

I don’t see it tbh mate, we really should have 4 wide players at the club. We currently have 2.

We are in no position to sell anyone right now tbh.

Not saying we should be selling him although in an ideal world we would be as he's frankly not good enough and is still young enough and on buttons wage wise that you'd get takes at a decent fee as well.

Just find it interesting we definitely seem after a second quality left sided player which leaves Dwight way down the pecking order

I think people do get too fixated on players positions - Harrison wasn’t really a right sided midfielder when we brought him in, but we still played him there for 2 years. No reason N’Diaye can’t play there.
Until last season nobody on earth would be saying N'Diaye's best position was out left put it that way, and if they did they're a liar.

Exactly my thoughts too. I think it is specifically the lower back injury that keot him out for ages that has done him this time . I think it was the Vila cup game where both him and DCL played very well and I thought he would kick on from THERE but the footie gods have had other ideas it seems. Still like him but if we sign teplayers we believe we need his playing time will get less and less, especially if we end up with 1 or 2 players thar are able to operate across the midfield.

Got a clip of his mazey run from the edge of the opponents area to the edge of ours, or him giving the ball away v spurs and doing this bunny hop rather than pressure the guy as he then trotted 70y behind? Or his numerous momentum killing switching it o to his left foot and going backwards?

A very limited player with a penchant to occasionally score a screamer.

Nice lad by all accounts though.

As much as I think Ndiaye more effective on the left or centrally, he could be effective anywhere behind the striker.

I think Moyes would have his attacking trio behind the striker be quite free flowing anyway throughout the game, all changing up and switching around, Alcaraz, Ndiaye and Fofana (if we somehow pulled it off)

His career stats to date will have him in the top 26 PL assists of all time if he carries on, on the same trajectory. He needs 16 more to be in the top 50. If all his Premier League assists had come at Everton then he'd currently be our third highest in the PL era. He's 25 years old. Does he have flaws? Yes, but show me how many Everton players don't or haven't had in the last 30 years. Let's not pretend he doesn't offer anything.

His flaws outweigh what he brings imo once your expectations are above finishing above the bottom 3, there's a reason most of his career has been spent fighting relegation and once he leaves us it'll likely to be to another team doing similar. Also a reason there has never been a sniff of interest from any even mid table club or on the international scene.

Yes. The supply of weak, one footed slugs far outweighs the demand for them.
