I know two agents. Sober, serious, competent, qualified. In the early days the spiv types reigned supreme here and in Europe but that has changed a lot. Some modern footballers almost literally cannot do anything for themselves and the big agencies have people who will eg order your shopping, hire a nanny, sort out a cleaner, lease you a car, rent/buy you a place, book holidays, arrange visits for family/friends etc. etc. Some players are more self-sufficient (something Moyes likes btw) but most are complete infants outside football.
