Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I think that's very closely and directly linked to our massive failings in recruitment

I've been asking for many years now to focus on the attacking third of the pitch and we haven't done that. We don't score goals because we have not prioritised signing attacking players with quality. It has always been midfielders and defenders and it has been extremely frustrating to me.

A lack of goals means a relegation battle is always a possibility.
We haven’t scored goals cos Sean dyche has been in charge

Lots of attacking players have been targeted and chose to go elsewhere

It might a need that’s enough. The fact that so many people have reacted negatively to it speaks volumes.
Devils advocate. Now if Everton approach you by default it's letting you know they consider you a top player.

It's all semantics honestly. Not a single player I'd imagine even checks these papers - and their agents will laugh at the story as a nothing burger.

He said: “We’re up against it. If we’re going for players, we're not going for bad players"

I like this though, at least we are not filling the squad up with crap to make up the numbers, if we get faces in, it's good players that they WANT. Much rather this than wasteful spending again. First team players that improve us please.

Well Well, haven't you little rascals been up to no good since I last logged on yesterday evening. Bannings, Racist shouts and bed wetting of the highest order. Never change GOT. Took me 3 cups of tea to catch up this morning and I've learnt nothing tbh.

I was disappointed with DMs remarks about players turning us down but we don't know by what context he is talking about. Players could turn us down because they aren't ready for a move, don't fancy the UK weather etc etc. However he has also stated that his time here is fleeting so maybe its a gee up to the new transfer team to get a move on. We can and will debate that until the 2nd Sept but until then we can't know how good or bad things are.

Moyes has said what he has said. It tells us where we are. We are guessing what it means for our endeavours going forwards. None of us really know but we can be 99.9% certain that agents understand the market and individual club/manager situations better than anybody. Hard to believe that any of them are going to be spluttering cornflakes reading his quotes.

Poor analogy. Transfer window has been poor so far and I ain’t going to dress it up like you are I’m afraid.
I’ll say it again. It’s been disappointing in terms of results but that doesn’t imply lack of effort, poor strategy or incompetence. You’re behaving like a spoilt child who doesn’t get his way.

We are consistently set up as a counter attacking team, coached to concede territory, get into a low block, turn the ball over and attack at pace yet Anthony Gordon & Gerard Deulofeu aside, we NEVER address pace across our midfield or front 4 - it's bordering on comical & has been for years.

We need ball carriers and dribblers that can actually beat a man. Our goals scored column is pitiful season after season in the main.

We want pace - When do we want it - NOW.

It reflects our budget which has been minuscule for years.

And the three outfield players we have signed are all good carriers of the ball, two are very fast.

And the players we are linked with bids for are all good carriers of the ball - Luiz, Kubo, Forfana, Mcatee and none are slow
