That's pretty much averaging out at 8 players a season over a period of 12 seasons time.


That pretty much takes us from up to when Moyes left.

A few of Moyes more active years to show context of why maybe he's fine with a large amount of incoming players at once.

So the season after Rooney left Moyes did a massive rebuild, followed 2 seasons later by another one.

People often throw out the 9-10 players is way too much we will never do that, in fact we had e on multiple occasions.

Over the season mate, so summer figures would knock it down anywhere from 0-2

no chance we sell him. I don't love him but he's of our most reliable attacking players in terms of assists and goals, and he's also pretty reliable defensively. In a season where we need to be growing the squad, selling him would make zero sense.

We're not gonna be selling McNeil. There's enough work to be done already. Doesn't really matter if he fits in to his system, there's a long season ahead and Dwight is a versatile set piece specialist, he'll be gonig nowhere.

I like him in the middle. Would he be my first choice? No, but he's definitely got something to offer as a squad player. He performed well in the middle last season (good numbers) and his set piece delivery is not something to be sniffed at - it's outstanding. 4 PL goals and 8 PL assists for him last season; a goal involvement every 114 minutes in the PL. Obviously the set pieces play a part in that but he looked like he had goals (8-10) in him playing in that position until he was injured.

I'm also a sucker for players with a good attitude.

I like him as a squad player.

Jimmy is last year nextt season as was a 5 year deal in Summer 22 so tbh he would fetch a semi decent fee too with 2 years left. If we are thinking that way then that could help us spend a few more bob but stay within our limits

I don’t see it tbh mate, we really should have 4 wide players at the club. We currently have 2.

We are in no position to sell anyone right now tbh.
