Moyes for a £6m signing no one has heard of that takes the league by storm.
 

I'm loathe to be critical of Moyes at this time. Apart from banging on someone's door like Fred Flintstone does shouting Wilma, I don't know what more he can do. He's clearly saying the right things, on and off the pitch shenanigans, it's over to the club. Get players in get deals done.

What a mess.

Im not sure going over to America to participate in this tourney is doing us any favours. We havent the squad to compete and judging by last night we're hardly grabbing any new fans.

It's not that I disagree, I just really hope we aren't missing Branners for any extended periods this season. We will need signings regardless, but we need him playing as much as possible.

I suppose Moyes is thinking about making the squad as strong as it can be now by adding older experienced players that will do a job for a season or two before moving on, and will continue to improve us on the pitch. Going for younger players with less PL game time under their belt would mean probably needing a season or two before they make an impact on the field but would give the squad a solid core of players for 6 to 8 years if they come through, by which time Moyes will have departed.

Honestly it's why I wished that on his contract or this summer at least they'd have sat down with him, laid out that he's manager for a period and after that they want him moving upstairs. That provides motivation not to go for the short term fix

Yeah np doubt if we signed say tete from Fulham, Luiz, Grealish on loan, we'd likely do better than if we signed Anoe, Forfana and Mcatee.

For next season, but in two or three years time the latter could see us genuinely pushing on with a very good team.
 

Moyes saying we should be a lot further down the line and the CEO saying we are “on track”. Which one is it? What’s actually going on at this club, it seems completely dysfunctional.
 
75% of the clubs home and abroad with decent quality players don't play in Europe so target the right profile players for the club and no wont be an issue then. Just another poor excuse for a very poor window. Not blaming Moyes btw, completely on TFG and the recruitment team for me. If it was down to Moyes we would probably have a full squad by now.
