Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Flawless logic again. Fill up the wage budget with literally anyone, and then save whatever is left to attract the the big money signings that are currently rejecting us.

As opposed to the seemingly flawless logic of trying and buy up Europe’s top talent who don’t have any interest in speaking to us and go into a Premier League season with 16 players.

Sick of the excuses. Maybe start going for top class European talent when we have an actual squad of players first and foremost. We need bodies to fill a matchday squad more than quality at this stage of proceedings. An absolute disaster of a window.
“Quick, sign a load of crap so I can cryarse even more”

Sorry I've had to quote this again because people need to see how sad it is what happens to grown men during the transfer window

Lots of noise & honesty - now time for Plan Bs to be approached

Kinnear:
“We’d have liked to have done our business earlier but we’re well on track. It’s about finding the right player. The structure is good - we won’t be making mistakes in the transfer market”.

Moyes:
‘We’ve been in for a lot of really good players. Unfortunately, a lot of them have said no at the moment.”

Pickford:
“We Need New Players We Need A Competitive Squad”

Who specifically do we think Moyes means has turned us down? Tete, Luiz, Fofana? Maybe McGinn

Tete turned us down on a free to stay at FULHAM and we think we can attract players like Fofana. The delusional thinking that has led to us having to stop Tyler Onyango joining a league 1 side because we need him as a body.

Or maybe just sign competent players who can do a job, because we currently have about 15 of them at the football club.
There is ZERO reason to believe that’s not what we’re currently in the process of doing. You’ve decided we’re not working quickly enough and so should abandon the notion of completing deals that require any sort of negotiation and just go for some mediocre, low-hanging fruit just so you can get your yellow SSN ticker dopamine hit. Then we can all convene back here and talk about how crap we are, and how we should have done “whatever it takes” to bring in better quality while we had the chance, even though when all it ACTUALLY takes is a bit of time, the mere prospect of it makes you saturate your kecks.

It’s all a bit tiresome, mate.

Anyway. 3 in this week.
