Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Watched the Bournemouth game, we are so lacking creative players and don’t have much pace in the team,

We definitely need an influx of players to strengthen a mediocre squad that we have at the moment, I know it’s a friendly but a 3-0 humping to Bournemouth is not on

And the biggest worry is where are goals are going to come from
Exactly this. I was so disappointed in the performance

Good morning all. I watched Everton last night. Very disappointing. I hope things get better before the season starts. We really need to sign a few people, preferably a striker who can actually hit a cow's arse with a banjo!
I did go to the gym yesterday- did some cardio and had a swim. Im feeling it this morning! However two months to my holidays so there's time to tone up a bit.
Poor little Frankie has been fully out of sorts after having some vaccinations on Friday. Wouldn't eat much, cried constantly and no smiles. However Charlotte has just messaged me saying he's back to his usual happy self and had 3 bottles during the night - clearly making up for lost time!
Enjoy your sleepover @Gwladysover .
Did Granny have her 5 am breakfast @jazzy ? I hope you managed to get back to sleep. Your night out in Southport sounded lovely- apart from the rs.
I'm pleased Mr P is getting better @Val P .
Have a good day folks. No plans here other than watching the cricket!

Afternoon all. It felt like there were two different teams in each half yesterday. It’s just like Everton to get you optimistic then drag you down again. The jury’s still out for me on Alcaraz, and McNeill has been pretty poor so far in the friendlies, but I see improvements in Beto and Tim is getting back to good form at last.
Lazy one for us today and going to watch the Lionesses as we have done in all of their games so far.
Enjoy your adventure @blueloon. Glad to hear Frankie has bounced back from his jabs @anjelikaferrett - it worries me that people are opting out of vaccinating their kids these days. We had a lovely morning with Cic yesterday - nothing else matters when she gives me that little toothy grin 💗.
Hope you’re not too exhausted after the sleepover @Gwladysover
Have a great Sunday everyone 💙

Pleased to hear Frankie is back to his happy self again. I’m absolutely shattered after the sleepover. It’s lovely to see them but lovelier to see their Mum’s car disappear round the corner.😂. Ready for our break in Wells this week that’s for sure.

Morning all. Today I start my biennial orienteering adventure , the Scottish Six Days Orienteering event this time on Royal Deeside. Today and tomorrow it’s not far from Balmoral Castle, thankfully Big Orange is in another part of Aberdeenshire and won’t be around.
Tell us more about that BL, sounds very interesting. Sense of direction wouldn’t be a strong point for me ☹️

Well it could takes pages to explain, but basically Orienteering is a competitive sport in which runners have to find their way across forests, country parks , rough country even urban areas with the aid of a map and compass. Every two years the big event in Scotland is “ The Six Day event” . 2 years ago it was in my area of Moray, this week it’s “ Royal Deeside ‘25 “ with different forests each day and 3000 competitors from lots of countries , particularly Scandinavia where it’s a big sport. It’s near Balmoral Sunday and Monday.
Today my Orienteering club were organising the starts so I had a job on instructing people at the final start line of picking up a map for their course , punching a “ dibber” to start etc. Basically you navigate from the start to Control No 1 which will be described with a symbol and number eg Large boulder , 135. Check it’s the right one then off to No 2 in a different part of the forest and so on around the course. Ignore others , they may be on a different course with different controls.
After helping I did my run, and it was really tough , hard to move through knee deep heather, but I finished it !

It is popular in Finland , they used to scout the course well ahead and then on the day many ran through our "garden " which was mostly the forested part ,the first time was strange but then we looked forward to seeing them . The forest hadn't been managed for at least a hundred years so there were lots of fallen logs and branches and it was treacherous alright .

Good morning all on this hot one again .Off to the shops in trepidation as my eldest son arrives tomorrow night and we have no real idea what to give him to eat ,he was pescatarian but now he devours the whole gammut but he doesn't take any sugar so it is hard to know which sugar affects him if indeed it is only one ,he does eat fruit so fructose is on the good list .I want to give him beef done from frozen at 100° for many hours :- ,as it is too much for us two and I have been waiting to drag someone in to eat some .
Have a great day all COYB

Indeed it is popular there, I’ve orienteered in Norway and Sweden in the ‘80 s but never Finland. I believe the World Orienteering Championship was held in Finland two weeks ago.

That was about 400kms from us north very lovely if you like mozzies . The north of Finland is alive with swarms of them in the summer the more north the worse they are .
