The other weird thing about it is that Bobble said again the other day that we are still really keen on Grealish, and he's still interested in moving to us. But it could only be a loan and that would likely materialise at the end of the window. That would be separate to the other winger deal. But Grealish mostly plays on the left too, so
Think wouldnt really change us getting another winger like a fofa as would be a more long term signing. If grealish was to come here think be in the 10 position as would get more freedom and get on the ball more. I kno would still be an expensive deal but be a great move imo

I think, of all of the players we are talking about, he is the one I could see playing the best on the right. He drifted out to the RW from a central position a few times when I saw him for Sheffield Utd. And he was brilliant against England there. Problem is that he would come inside quite a bit, so wouldn't work if Coleman or big Jake were playing RB.
It's really hard to see what the plan is at the moment, but at least we're looking at good footballers. It would also be very strange for Moyes to play an Alcaraz, Grealish or Ndiaye as a 10. You suspect a bid for a Röhl type player must happen at some point, but we'll just have to see.
That's the thing ,ate he was our top goal scorer last year. you assume he starts - but we've just gone and obviously bid 30 mill + for essentially another left winger - which as i was saying means he's either starting at 10 like he did last night or on the right.
Was also sporting the No 10 last night.
Hes right footed mate, i actually think he could be more creative on the right side on his stronger foot - he didn't hace many assists on create as much others last season, he may on his more natural side. But agree he need the full back.
9 goals last year though, thats the type of return Cahill used to get for us centrally in that hybrid 10 role centrally.
Jave to say im surprised we've gone for a left winger - with so much work to do i assumed they'd leave Illy there, but hes either going to be 10 or 7 even we get Fofana and i also think Grealish is live now.

Yeah he can play both sides apparently.
Hes a 100% a left winger mate, he may have played a couple of games on the other side when his side was pinched fpr an option, but he's a left winger.
