G.A.A. 2025.

A middle finger for saying it was a rubbish final? You havin a laugh? Kerry won easy but as a spectacle it was drab.
Anyone that knows what they’re looking at will appreciate the skills of Kerry. I get that neutrals would want it to be closer but to describe an exhibition like that as drab is plain nonsense

Congratulations and enjoy the year.

Awful final, poor year overall in my opinion.

Kerry deserved it, prob the best team this year, Gavin White was wonderful today. Still feel its a bit easy for Kerry to peak around the quarter final coming out of Munster compared to those battling it out in other provinces.

But look it was just about Kerrys turn, so fair play.

Kerry deserved it but the point is valid re the run to the quarter finals. Ulster teams are the walking wounded by then but in fairness you can only beat what’s in front of you. I still would retain the provinces but love to see Sam as an open draw like the FA Cup.

Overall the new rules haven't been the catalyst i thought they'd be, laid bare today in a boring, often cynical final, they can be manipulated as much as the old rules.

The two pointer killed the game as a contest of jeopardy today in all honestly.
Exactly that. It won’t be reported as this though as the ‘purists’ won the big one. Kerry are as defensive as any Ulster team but never seem to get the same negative press.

They need to break Kerry up into 3 counties now
The impetus to split Dublin seems to have fizzled out. Only when we put a great run together does it come back.

No one advocating that idea ever mentions that from 1984 to 2010 inclusive, Dublin won Sam only once.

One title in 27 years.

Kerry won 9 in the same period as well as 4 in a row from 1978-81.

13 titles in 33 Years.

Dubs fans simply stood and admired them without begrudgery.

In fairness I don't know any true Kerry fans that were suggesting that Dublin should be split.

Its at the point though thats its a major advantage - look hands up - it has been an advantage for Dublin in the last 15 years to until this year as well.

But is unfair - particularly on Ulster Teams. Ulster is penalised for having a great provincial championship.

Id play the provincials like a qualifying for either the Taitelin Cup or Sam - but separate - maybe in the Spring.

That or merge Munster and Leinster and have one big Super Province.

With a fair wind - its to bit of an unequitable advantage for Kerry and Dublin and neither need it.
