Cycling thread

So there it was, the end of this years TdF, and the actual end of over 40 years of British TV coverage.

Thanks to Phil Liggett, Paul Sherwen (rip), David Saunders, Gary Imlach, Ned Boulting, (a much lesser shout to David Millar), Dan Friebe and Matt Rendell. We got lucky, we were gifted Chris Boardman, in the velodrome, at the Olympics, and at the tour. Then working for cycling GB, and presenting on the tour to.

Fignon, Hinault, Lemond, Roche, Delgado, Big Mig, and then into the modern digital world wide broadcast event. I wonder how the spectre of seven for armstrong looms over the latest marvel.

So long and farewell.

Au revoir

It'll be interesting to see what happens with the Vuelta. Pogacar definitely seems below his road flattening best, and UAE have Del Toro, Ayuso, Vine, Majka, McNulty, and possibly even Almeida to think about for the race. If he did ride, he'd probably have better support than he did at the Tour. It seems likely that Vingegaard will race it as he's also going for the Worlds this year.
