I would have Tim over Garner all day.

Would rather loan out Tim than Armstrong. Tim does not have time on his side if he’s going to be a PL player. Needs the regular football to at least judge him one way or the other.

Armstrong imo could see enough minutes to justify keeping him around.

If Armstrong is getting games we are gonna struggle, miles away from what we need.

He’s definitely got something, showed that on the ball in first few games of last season, but I’m not surprised Moyes doesn’t trust him off the ball, just seems to be lost at times. If he’s being loaned out though it means we’re confident players are coming in.

Quite good with the ball at his feet but he's a passenger when we're not in possession.

Tim needs a loan to somewhere like the Dutch league same as Branthwaite imo. That style of coaching will soon smooth out the rough edges in his game. Get Marcel on the blower someone!

I doubt the same level of club will be interested in him to be honest, he’s nowhere near as good as branthwaite, and there’s not a lot of benefit (to us) in him going to a second rate Dutch side. Personally I’d think if he goes on loan it will be with a view to selling him not developing him - if he can’t break into a team with 2 central midfielders at this point you’d have to think he’s maybe never going to be up to much.

IMO Iroebugnam, Armstrong and Chermiti should go out on loan and get regular minutes. I still think there is a good player in Chermiti and if he could get a loan like Branthwaite had he might show that.

Obviously the other side of that is we need to sign 7/8 good players....

Just have a strange feeling Moyes will keep Armstrong, especially if Iroegbunam goes on loan. He loves a player to have had championship experience which Armstrong has and Moyes normally likes a young player or two around the first team squad to develop gradually. He’s effectively now where Coleman and Osman were after their loans to Blackpool and Derby. He might well be used from the bench to start getting premier league minutes.

They want roughly what we got for Anthony Gordon , not unreasonable at all.
Put things into perspective Newcastle signed Elanga for £55mil.
I think this lad is a far better prospect.

But then again he'd have to want to come here.
