Who is to blame for the lack of new signings?

Why do we have a lack of new signings?

There is cause for concern. The squad is paper thin and the glaring right back problem is still there. I imagine we will end up with squad fillers like Soucek, Coufal. We need players who will walk into the first team. Is Aznou one of them?
Not sure soucek would be a squad filler...if we end up signing him, guarantee to be on the starting 11 and so he should. Great player. Tete was meant to be that starting rb for us, and we did not seem to have a plan b. Don't want coufal nowhere near this football club. Aznou is definitely one for the future. He did great on loan at valladolid last season. There is a player there for sure, and a good one too.

The answer is TFG.

It's always TFG.

Its their decisions. It's their setup.

The poll should have just put;

Moyes
Recruitment/Leeds Exec Hires
TFG

I reckon Moyes has a different view on profiles of player. Disconnect. And/or the recruitment folk aren't good enough.
But Angus assured us we have experts in every department!

I think the issue is we are puffing our chest out and trying for a certain calibre of player that will take us to the next level, the issue is no European football can be a sticking point in trying to convince them to sign.

Yes a new stadium is great but some players want a quick fix rather than hopping onto a project, Fofana for example wants CL even at his young age and probably thinks he’s good enough to play regularly for a CL club.

We’re more likely to sign players that are drawn towards PL football and don’t mind joining a project.

If something is always the same irrespective of various changes of management or owners then it must be something else thats consistent.
I would say then that that consistency is the fact we are utter turd on and off the pitch and unfortunately have been one of the most dull teams to watch on the pitch. I'm sure Everton supporters would get bored if we started doing well. We like the fact we are hard to support and it shows some grit - certainly cant be the terrible football we have served up in the last trophyless decades.
It will take more than a new stadium and brand new unproven owners to turn this all around. 10 decent players this summer is a pipe dream.
We need to have a few seasons of stability, no endless threats of relagation, sacking manager, points deduction turmoil.... before we look like an attractive club that a player wants to go to.

Largely true, sadly.

We might have to do another Poll to dig deeper into why players don't want to play for Everton.
I don't think we need a poll....
The reason should be plainly obvious. Shockingly bad on and off the pitch, constant chaos and massive fan expectations. Why would you want to play for us apart from money (and any other club can pay the money)?
At present we are likely just trying to sell a dream that we are going to be amazing and the stadium is the saviour to this once great and sucessful club....players and agents are not stupid!! We need to prove we are moving in the right direction, or expect more overpaid journeyman and last minute ashley young type signings. Higher expectations, sacked managers more moaning and booing and repeat the cycles.

It’s a viscous circle - we need to improve on the pitch to attract better players but we need better players to improve on the pitch.

Also we can’t discount perception - RS media bias putting the club down at every opportunity.

At first we just need to get more out of the players we have with a few extras we manage to get in this summer. Moyes started to show he could get a bit more out of the current lot and then hopefully with some consistency we can build momentum and attract some better players. Success breeds success.
