Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Tim needs a loan to somewhere like the Dutch league same as Branthwaite imo. That style of coaching will soon smooth out the rough edges in his game. Get Marcel on the blower someone!

I think people have a right to be aggrieved, we're very short but we were promised a new beginning, a fresh start, we finally got rid of 99% of the overpaid useless lot and the club got us excited for a host of new players and they're doing the usual Everton thing of not living up to expectations that they set themselves.

Disappointing so far but still time, as much as we don't want to hear that.
For starters we are talking about our Everton right? A club that infamously buys late in markets lol. I know we see the top in the table clubs wheeling and dealing but I think thats predicated on the fact they have domino reactions and have broadly been competing for similar targets and ultimately with each other.

Are we exceptionally thin yes, but that was expected when we had so many expirings, and we retained the right players of that bunch. Of course some preseason reps would be welcomed, but I would much rather be patient with good buys than panic to simply fill a need.

I also think the age of our targets is a variable. We are intelligently looking at a younger profile but that does create holdups in the market. One in that we possibly aren't going to say sign veteran free's that may appear as logjams to prospects interested. Part of the pitch when you don't have europe i'm sure is selling a viable pathway into the first 11.

I would be worried if the names attached weren't so encouraging but most of the rumors seem broadly smart. with an eye on the future. After years of inflated veteran adds that simply end up depreciating in quality and as assets I welcome the team factoring years ahead more than the present. As far Im concerned take the whole window to get ink to paper if it means we are picking the right young players to invest in.

Rumour that Tim ‘2 scoops’ Iroegbunam is going out on loan to Sheffield United.

Potential sweetener to secure Gustavo Hamer?

Nothing yet from Big Alan Myers.
Alan Nixon on the S#n with this rumour- nothing mentioned about Hamer though

Im just saying if we got our ar$e$ in gear a bit more we would obvs be in a better position.

Makes me think there is more going on here than we realise.
This is the thing, there could be one deal going on or there could be ten deals going on in the background we simply don't know atm. I think we will just have to wait and see for now how things play out frustrating as it is.

Would rather loan out Tim than Armstrong. Tim does not have time on his side if he’s going to be a PL player. Needs the regular football to at least judge him one way or the other.

Armstrong imo could see enough minutes to justify keeping him around.
I think both players will very much be with us this season .
Both have already proved themselves capable players , and our squad size means that sending capable players away is not a sensible decision.
