We all know when the season starts mate.

The fixtures and schedule came out weeks ago. We knew we would be losing players. It’s the clubs job to make sure they are prepared for the start of the season.

You actually don’t have to run things right to the end of the transfer window, that’s a choice, and in our position not a good choice to make as demonstrated last night by the squad on view.

Hopefully some players in this week to improve the quality and numbers.

We are buying one in the next 48 hours and bidder for another, we have no idea if 2-3 are very clue, the LB was mentioned what 2 weeks ago and the next thing he having a medical today

Why is everyone losing their minds, when one random Belgium source has said no. While there are numerous credible sources yesterday saying, we are progressing with personal terms.

As daft as Everton are, they are not going to smash in with £30m bid without some green light from the players side.

People are saying it’s awful and the club have completely failed because we havnt bought a load of players 3 weeks before the season starts. Player are training at their clubs and playing matches at their clubs, it’s not like Everton are the only team in preseason training.

Preseason is purely about fitness, results are irrelevant, if we get to Leeds and have no extra players then yeah I’ll be annoyed but that’s still 3 weeks away and not worth stressing over till then

Players that are likely to be sold are specifically not training much or playing games to reduce the risk of injury.
Their personal lives and relationships are all under stress as they don’t know where they are going to have to fly to and start a new life. They are not concerned about training.

It is nothing short of scandalous that we are less than 3 weeks from the start of the season and we still haven’t signed a RB and a RW. Those positions should have been our main focus. We’ve known since last season these positions were priority.

Does feel like they've come in all guns blazing. We'll get ALL the boss players AND only pay what we think.

There will have to be an adjustment based on our position as a club i.e. not at the top of the food chain atm

Option b) go down your list to the next option

It probably needs to be on a case by case basis.

And this is the part that is a concern. They have had long enough to gauge if plan A players are actually keen on signing for Everton or whether we are being strung along.

When do we say plan A isn't working, times running out and we need to move to our second list of players we want and see whether they are interested.

We are going to throw away valuable points again this season whilst we appear to approach the transfer window with such apathy.

Words from Kinnear are all well and good but these have to be backed up by actions and positive ones at that.

Last nights comments from Moyes and Pickford were a shot at the club to sort this mess out sharpish

I don't fathom the new narrative that Moyes is flustered and frustrated with the recruitment, the previous day he seemed pretty confident so in the span of one day he's panicked? He knew his squad numbers was lacking before yesterday. Also the whole Moyes is being let down by the recruitment team notion doesn't make sense as going by history and recent comments he seems to be heavily engaged in the process himself.

Hes a wonderful manager with players.

If you want good players, you are going to have to compete for their signature.

In Paddys Boylands initial report yesterday - he said we faced competition for his signature.

You don’t go after players that want CL football right now as the only way to get them is overpay on wages.
