We’ve clearly communicated with all parties otherwise we wouldn’t have bid, it doesn’t necessarily mean a deal isn’t dead

Clubs don't normally bid for a player unless they are interested in joining. Doesn't need to be a players first choice but would have to be their second or third choice option at least.
