All the reports said we had been talking to his representatives so presumably they were willing to entertain the idea but presumably not convinced.

There’s no harm in trying for good players if we have the budget but hopefully they move on quickly to other targets if there’s no chance of convincing the player.

Hes only 20 and needs to play regularly. Hed just get lost in a team like Chelsea or bayern ect.

Agree although I guess for those sorts of players like Fofana who look like they will progress to the very top there are options out there like Dortmund or whatever where they’ll get CL experience and know they’ll get a big money move if they prove themselves.

What he reported has happened. So hes right in what he said. Just apparently the player isnt intrested in coming to us (which has been said by a much less reliable source).

I find it a bit strange we'd bid on a player without getting any nod from the players camp

He is supposed to have knocked Forest back a few weeks ago because they didn't have champions league, maybe he was expecting some movement and nothing has come of it?
I don't see us getting him or Luiz to be honest would be pleasantly surprised if we did.
