Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Depends who you believe boyland was more cautious 'hold an interest' not same as submitting a bid. Either way as good as he is we need to walk away. He's not interested.
I would imagine he’s interested, otherwise things wouldn’t have got this far. No doubt he’d rather go to someone better than us if the opportunity is there - as you’d expect - but if we’re the best offer he gets then he’d be happy to come here. All very normal really.

That's how I see it too.

If that is the case and there's no evidence to support that (or ever likely to be) I'd rather move on to another target. The way we do transfers we can't be hanging around for weeks on end to see if he gets a better offer or not. F-that for a game of soldiers. You can do that if you have a fully functioning squad that only needs 1/2 players. We don't. And that doesn't mean either we go on a mad trolley dash.

No, I will blame the last month actually. We’ve known since May that 10 players were walking out the door, the window has been open since early June. There is no excuse to be moving so slowly, we needed a minimum of 8 players just to fill a matchday squad.
You just don't get it do you mate? Let's imagine what your line would be if we'd have gone out like a Burnley and quickly bought in 8 players under £20m.

'No ambition ffs. Not fit to wear the bloo shirt. We'll get relegated with deese'.

If you don't know how the transfer market works by now, especially for clubs like us who are not Sky 6, not in Europe and (we should hope) have genuine ambitions to improve, then I can only suggest you've had your head up your arse for the last 10 years.

Hackney is subject to £20m bid from Ipswich and only wants £35k per week - get it done - I’d also get Fellows out squad is so thin
Moyes would want players like those two . I think its the 'ambitious' others around the club thinking that we can attract bigger names , when in reality we can't. He even said in the press conference yesterday that he wants some young players and some older players with prem experience.

We appear to be going after ‘really good players’ who are holding out for better. I’m quite convinced that this is not the best transfer strategy given where we have been as a club. It will be interesting if rumours are to be believed, who of Luiz and Fofana joins, I doubt either but we shall see. Cut your cloth accordingly in terms of your targets so we get them in early and they improve us. I do wonder how much impact Moyes is having given the newly created recruitment team and how much of it is being driven by the fact he only had two years here.
