Signing coufal to be a backup, before signing a first choice would leave us with 4 senior rbs on the books.

And signing them would still not give us a RW.

Which potential others are these ? Every decent player we're linked with refuses to come and goes elsewhere.

Massive mis management to turn up to America in the middle of the summer without a full squad . Why not take the likes of Coufal , Brownhill and Harrison to at least bolster the squad and then add starters to the squad afterwards.

That's for deadline day mate...once we fail to get the elite players we are after...at least we are saving on wages. Massive mismanagement is an understatement...they are taking the p#ss to show up with a squad like that in the us...

I am utterly shocked a player who turned down Forest for CL teams doesn't want to now suddenly join Everton just because we bid for him.

No, I will blame the last month actually. We’ve known since May that 10 players were walking out the door, the window has been open since early June. There is no excuse to be moving so slowly, we needed a minimum of 8 players just to fill a matchday squad.

Squad depth is due to the last well 20 years of complete miss management of the football club and it’s going to take more then a month to fix it, what do you want a handful of crap players who don’t improve us or a load of players who do? Would you have been happy if we waste time and money on Kyle Walker and Wilson? Who combined wages would be close to 400k a week.

This is one of the most important windows in our history and for once I’d rather the club got it right instead of panic buying because we lost to our bogey team in a nothing game

Not much reason for optimism around Fofana given asking price, competition and possibly player reluctance. These are the situations where we need to be decisive. Make our best bid. Move on fast if not good enough. The time for trying to get cute has long passed.
