Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Moyes said in his press conference that we've been targeting senior 25+ players with pl experience as well as the young players. He wants a mix. Also said AFCON is a problem and impacts decisions on buying players

Who are they then do we think. Luiz/Palhinha/McGinn - and I guess there was Tete - but there's not been that many more links to that profile of player so far. Grealish? Soucek?

They’re a promoted Championship team. They have more financial leeway and have to upgrade almost a full starting XI to survive.

Look how many signings Ipswich made, or Luton, or any of those sides that recently came up.
Yeah i dont disagree, but it shows it can be done. We need plenty.. and seem to be fannying about how we go about it.

From the outside anyway

I’d certainly hope & expect things to ramp up significantly this week, my M&S Egyptian cotton bedding is sopping, stained & stinking.

If I have to watch Beto bumbling about like a baby elephant on a bouncy castle again, I’ll be forced into nappies.

Poor big fella couldn’t trap a bag of cement, bless him.

Siting on their hands for most of July.Panic buying a couple of weeks before the big kick off not allowing signings to bed in until we've lost 3 or four of the first half dozen games. Hoping we'll start to gel against a fourth tier club in the first round of the league cup. Classic modern Everton setting up to fail.

Problem is though, yeah Leeds have signed 7 players, but not one if them I would ho early want or would think good enough to be playing for us.

What an arrogant comment.

I don’t think some people realise just how [Poor language removed] we are.

With the exception of Pickford, Branthwaite, Gueye and Ndiaye, our squad is championship at best.

What is gained by making such overreactive negative statements? It's just silly. Two seasons in a row we have finished around the 12/13th spot with our squad when you look at the points totals. It's clearly not Championship quality.

Without an honest approval of our position we will never improve.

Yes it was just a friendly but we’ve just been humiliated by Bournemouth which highlighted how little depth we have and how bad our recruitment has been so far this summer.

They will have to make compromises on a couple of targets also if they're to get the numbers in. That will have to happen this week.

I fully expect quite a bit of business in the final week regarding loans, they should do them earlier if they can get them.

I'd imagine Fofana is unlikely. In that instance they have to move quickly on an alternative.
Still need Anzou + at least one more this week. I think that might be the height of it for now.

There was a flurry of optimism yesterday but then you reflect on the cold reality and the state of the squad.

You're massively overreacting.

Far to early on a Sunday for this.

Put the kettle on and chilli brother.
