Transfer Rumour Adam Aznou

I mean it won’t take much to dislodge Mykolenko.
I know, but he won't be starting the season and will probably need to have the game of his life in the Carling Cup, combined with an awful start for Myko, to get an extended opportunity any time soon.

Still, delighted we're bringing him in, it's just funny that the 'main' positions are being overlooked.

I mean you say this but one of the main targets is a winger and news broke yesterday we’re trying to lob £30m at one so… wouldn’t call that overlooked.

Yeah he's got uses in certain games, weirdly v the best he tends to do a decent lock down job. But Moyes always wanted more going forward from at least one fullback side - and that ain't gonna be RB the way things stand.
Often stated we don't score enough goals rightly so, a huge part of that is we don't have anyone really who provides regular chances.

Neither fullback side provides anything leaving it all to a midfield without any creativity or vision whatsoever - Ndiaye I love but it's more just individual stuff from him

@FCBarça will be back when Aznou becomes a superstar...crowing about how 'La Masia' made him that way
Just because some are only learning about a talent now doesn’t mean they haven’t been heralded. There’s a reason why Bayern poached him from Barça at 16 before his pro contract (not unlike what happened to Cesc with Arsenal) with promises of fast track development - 2 year later player was pressing for 1st team minutes & eventual loan to relegation bound Valladolid in Spain. When Adam left in 2022 there were alarm bells ringing at Barça as they were reeling from Bartomeu’s mismanagement - the fear was that Lamine would follow which was what led to his eventual debut under Xavi later in that season (at 15) and signing his first pro contract at 16.

Adam is a talent who feels he is ready to play more at senior level having forced an exit from BM who profit up to 12M for never having developed him. I think most will like him, he has a lot of exciting qualities

When did Myko turn into Baines? Incredibly average footballer.

Whats the word on the street in Barca land?

Attacking full back
Best mates with Yamal

Any comparisons with senior players?

He’s the typical overlapping FB developed at club, can play in multiple positions - even RB (He is left foot dominant) or LW. He was part of a youth class in Cadet level with Lamine, Prim, Balde etc who were very hyped from early age

I saw him in UEFA Youth League recently even facing Barça with Bayern (before loan move to Valladolid) and impressive how even as a FB he looked the most dangerous player with possession of the ball. Like most Masia players, a midfielder in terms of possession

His similarities to Balde (I’d say this is the best comparison to current squad players) & with Jofre also in the mix, perhaps why he saw the opportunity to exit with new board and financial uncertainty around club. He was a player I was very disappointed to see leave. Definitely something magical to his game but I would only caution a player that moves that much due to pushing for minutes is not always a question of ambition but impatience too - will be curious to see how he develops
