Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Moyes’ comments were telling in the post-match press conference:

He immediately went to the squad size, lack of players, etc. straight off the first question.

The tweet that was posted on here was misquoted too; he actually said, in response to a question about him previously saying we need 9 or 10 players, “well we’ve brought in 3 already and probably looking at another 5 or 6”.

He mentioned a balance of youth and experience, so probably including those young prospects in his original “9 or 10” assessment.

Knowing Moyes he's talking also about permanent signings, he always viewed the loan market as something you use after you've concluded the rest of your business to fill gaps etc

After those interviews I'm certain that any delays have absolutely nothing to do with Moyes. He's clearly identified or signed off on players he wants brought in, and the club is badly failing to agree deals for them on almost all fronts.

What an abject failure to properly prepare for the new season.

5 players.

Possibly: Aznou & Fofana.

That would leave 3 players.

RB, CM & RW

That seems spot on. Hopefully theres cash in the pot for Luiz, Dibling and a top RB.

No chance.

No chance.

We will not be buying Dibling, not should we be at anything remotely close to what Saints want for him.

Especially so him but Hutchinson falls into the same bracket neither of them are remotely close to being 50 and 35m quid players.

Meanwhile in reality Leeds our first game of the season are onto signing number 7!!!

Our u21s must be ace

They’re a promoted Championship team. They have more financial leeway and have to upgrade almost a full starting XI to survive.

Look how many signings Ipswich made, or Luton, or any of those sides that recently came up.
