Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all on this yet again hot one it isn't going below 20° at night . I hope all slept well and have a special day today.I got my blood results and the numbers are changing but still three manth intervals so if the doctor is happy then so am I . I am hoping that we sign someone soon but it is typical Moyes and we don't have lots to spend anyway ,what day is the end of the window ? Another Felli would be OK at the last minute.
Have a great day all COYB

Evening chums.

Just back from a balmy night in Southport and the seagulls were in full voice.

A nice Chinese and a trip to the Atkinson to watch a Fleetwood Mac tribute band and they were genuinely very good.

They even dedicated the final song to Evertonians ....yep "Don't stop thinking about tomorrow, yesterday's gone " , well I made that bit up by the sentiment remains good.

Things must surely be better than under Moshiri even if it all feels a bit underwhelming at the moment. Of course made all the worse by the RS spending money like a drunken sailor on shore leave.

The guy sat next to be at the gig was scrolling on his phone in the interval and his wife asked him what he was doing , he replied " checking to see if we've signed Isak" . And I was enjoying the evening up until then.

Good night everyone, and try to get some kip Pete.
We were in Southport too but yesterday afternoon as Mr P managed his first 10k steps without crutches! Life is getting back to normal. It seemed that reds were everywhere yesterday in Southport so I’m not surprised you ended up next to one.

Great photo. I don’t remember seeing a Dragonfly as a kid but they seem so much more common now.

On the insect note, I believe Mosquitoes find me the tastiest human alive 🤦🏼‍♂️
Been loads of dragonflies this year been a good year for butterflies as well. Didn’t escape the mosquitos either unfortunately, got three bites on my ankle.:(

Glad your blood results are going good blue. On our weather forecast it said that Finland had reached a record 14 consecutive days of 30deg C , incredible really . Our temperatures are normal , but I suspect that they’ll be elevated in the next few days with the Big Orange Blimp being in the country.

How daft am I? I should have known.

It has only but a nod of a Stetson to it rather than being actual C&W (thank God).
The girls have done a couple of short radio chats with the BBC to promote their new single and the upcoming album. The BBC released a highly edited 20 second TikTok video taken from one of those appearances in which they are talking about Oasis and how much influence they've had on them as a band. It gave the impression that the answer was not a lot and Abigail had only started listening to them recently, which of course triggered a big backlash from Oasis fans against the band. Indie fans don't usually need much in the way of ammunition to have a dig, especially where Abi is concerned.

The thing is, the edited version in no way reflects the whole interview in which they were (surprisingly to me) very complimentary to Oasis and even named them as one of 3 influences on the new album along with Nick Cave and The Beatles. I expected better from the BBC. Why would they do this?

Here's the full interview. All Oasis references are within the first 5 minutes.

Oasis fans are rather precious at the minute, aren’t they! Despite what Abi said, I suspect she is playing the audience with little influence at all from Oasis in their songcraft.

The BBC blunders from one disaster to another and I have little time for them. Kneecap then allegedly censoring CMAT have been PR disasters for them and don’t even start me on their reporting of Gaza or Trump.

Good morning all on this beautiful day . I hope all had a good night and have a better day .I decided it was too late for me to watch the match and went to bed but my body clock woke me and I got up to find that it was the second half ! That was starting ,as Ducans Elbow says we were terrible ,the same players Dwight and Charlie may as well not be on the pitch ,I hope they are saving themselves and it is not a plot to make Moyes buy Harrison from Leeds . We looked bereft of ideas other than the big punt to Beto who was beaten by numbers and in the air every time . Things can only get better .
Have a great day all COYB
