Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I am not scared of the transferal situation by now, but I'd thought that we'd be further in the process by the end of July.

First of all, we could start the planning quite early, we secured PL much earlier (we didn't need to plan for 2 divisions), the PSR situation looks better, we have clarity in terms of ownership, CEO, DOF, manager etc. Early signs looked good, and it was clear, we might need 8-10 players.

Agree.

If Moyes said 9 in by the end of the window, what basis does that mean another 6? If he was including the 3 already he'd say he wants 6 in by the end of the window.

Whether that happens is another matter. However to pour scorn on it and call it overkill is daft. Imagine being Chelsea or Forest looking at our squad. As an example. "Call that a squad"!

I agree completely, but I always find as a blue some default of what I'll settle for. That's ingrained now. This window has felt like bargaining down. I'd be delighted with another 5 in.

We have you’re correct. But let’s not pretend that’s suddenly great going. It may seem it because we’re all not used to spending any money these days, but we’re still lagging way behind most others when it comes to investing in playing staff.

Liverpool (is the rival), but they are doing the right thing, as they were quite modest with spending the years before.

It's easy to say we won title, we go on like that, but they extended their 2 most important players + a couple of promising signings that show ambition. For me it felt like it was the easiest to win the PL for years last season, but won't repeat this season.
