Any other club attempts to dip their toe into that pool they will come and take your best players, then you are on a rebuild again.

I think the likelihood of ever winning a title for example is fanciful .

However Are West Ham or palace on a Different level to us ? It doesn’t feel like they are and both have enjoyed what I’d consider success

Ths is his last big pay day and he doesn't have the dynamism for the job anymore. Unrecognisable to the man who was here first time around IMO. You just have to listen to him post match. The fire is out. The interest gone. And by that I mean obsessive interest, the type we saw 12 years and more ago.

He'll play ball with parsimonious owners and we'll run relegation a close thing if we dont sign the required quantity and quality.

This is not good.

We had 3 years of awful football, almost relegated twice had point deduction, nearly takeover by dodgy idiots and almost went bankrupt.
Yet here we are about to go in to a shiny new stadium with a very good manager and owners who have a clue and actually have money and the club have money, who already spent 50 million this summer and removed the high wage dross from the club and signed our best player to a new contract(who would of been sold this year) yet people are way over reacting, give your self a head wobble and relax, they got this.

We need 9...right back, backup left back, 2 cms players (to replace mangala and doucs), one right wingers (potentially/ideally 2), another striker (he is not convinced by chermiti), another keeper (we need 3 first team options for the season) and possibly another versatile attacking midfielder.

We don't need 3 midfielders: Gana, Garner, Tim and Luiz type of midfielder. Then Alcarez & another new signing as attacking midfielder although Mc Neil and NDiaye can play nr 10 role. For me we need to focus on RB, LB, 1 midfielder and 2 wingers. Anything else is a bonus or we keep the likes of Armstrong & Chermiti for now
