Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I haven't been excited by football since probably Martinez first season when we had a young dynamic team in the making. Of course it couldn't be allowed as the Sport Washers took Stones, Man Utd took Romelu and Chelsea took Barkley to put on their bench. All these players left to play 'Champions' League football which is the biggest reason why football is a cash grab now and not about actually winning things

Champions lg is so inappropriately named. Find the whole format extremely boring too.

He moved to Chelsea, and had to back to Southampton cus of home sickness

Let's be realistic

Realistic?

How about Joyce saying Conceicao was the first choice. A played involved in 26 serie a games and 9 of their champions league matches at 21-22 years old and a low clause turn his loan permanent.

That was apparently our first choice yet no one thought to check with his agent.

Second choice Kubo who Real Sociedad have no need to sell having just sold Zubimendi for €70mil.

No one thought to check the asking price.

I am not sure what "realistic" means anymore.

To me it looks like they’re getting it out there that we’re looking at quality, unrealistic targets so in a few weeks when we sign a load of sub-optimal crap they can just say “well at least we tried”.

Im confused, are you suggesting we shouldnt inquire about really good players and just sign rubbish?

If you dont buy a ticket, you never win the prize, but I find it interesting that suddenly you think we should target bargain basement players.

Nothing to see here.
I just think its strange that somebody who has suggested that every Summer we bid for the brightest and best youngsters in world football is suddenly suggesting we "stay in our lane" and simply dont bother.

Hence my confusion, but you knew that.

You are just trying to be clever and failing, for the record.
