Think as exciting as the links to these exciting continental players are, if they're proving to be too elusive I'd rather we just cut to the chase now and get the lad from Boro in CM and Tom Fellows.

They're a bit more underwhelming but at least we could have a sulk for a few days then start kidding ourselves they're the next underrated gems off the conveyor belt

Of the three big names mentioned Luiz, Kubo, Mcatee the latter feels like the most likely to me.

The lad from Boro would be an absolutely tremendous signing. I know signing players from the Championship is a bit underwhelming at times, but he's the best I've seen at that level since I saw Olise play for Reading.
