Wouldn't surprise me...and probably for a nice profit for united. Paying over the odds for united rejects...some things will never change. We'll probably end up with Anthony from Utd.

Shots firedThink 15 would sound more dramatic Dave, sorry, I mean Mike
Enjoy....I say what I see about our recruitment. I've been very unimpressed for years with our recruitment and I need to see action before I will say things have changed. I don't think I'm being negative for the sake of it. I don't think anyone can honestly argue our recruitment record has been good. Our strategy of late business has been a huge failure, so I don't want to see more of the same.
Wouldn't we need to spend like 80m for United to make a profit ??Wouldn't surprise me...and probably for a nice profit for united. Paying over the odds for united rejects...some things will never change.

Good points and I agree. It is a tough balance, but when you need as many players as we do, then you need to be pragmatic.
Yes you want to try and get your number 1 or 2 target, but there comes a point where you have to move on and make sure that you still get someone who brings overall improvement to the group. You can't wait to late in the window, then try to pivot, and find there are no decent players left. That's what I am concerned is going to happen now that we are a week away from August. You can't just wait on your number 1 target. You probably need plan A, B , C, D , E etc when you are in our position.
I am extremely surprised at the lack of urgency that is being shown from the club. And the stories of them being internal pleased with the summer so far make no sense. How can anyone look at the current state of the squad and feel pleased. Maybe these games in America will fully highlights the weaknesses of the squad depth and will get us into action.
He is their second preferred option apparently so no, not at the momentGoing Napoli isn't he ?
cold cold heartNice of us to sacrifice the first few months of the season again. Do we ever learn?
Gone this far? It probably cost £5k to pass the resolution. It’s all been passed,
Why would TFG go this far to
Then not follow it through![]()
I'd love it to be true.Definite credible links that we're trying. Not enough credible links that he's interested though.
Feel like it's one where we may ride our luck a bit. Happens to be a summer where he wants a move and we want a new RW and by chance there's not the same opportunities going elsewhere so a PL move and paycheck ticks enough boxes for him...
I say what I see
I’ll be pretty upset too if we pay 85m or more for Antony but let’s cross that bridge when we come to it.Wouldn't surprise me...and probably for a nice profit for united. Paying over the odds for united rejects...some things will never change.
We won't overpay for Mcatee based on what Cole Palmer has done.Think as exciting as the links to these exciting continental players are, if they're proving to be too elusive I'd rather we just cut to the chase now and get the lad from Boro in CM and Tom Fellows.
They're a bit more underwhelming but at least we could have a sulk for a few days then start kidding ourselves they're the next underrated gems off the conveyor belt
Of the three big names mentioned Luiz, Kubo, Mcatee the latter feels like the most likely to me.
