NUFC aka The Horse Punchers

We would have had our noses in that break away league trough if we still mattered.
Everybody will. It’s why when it happens it won’t “save” football. Any decent team out of whatever’s left will be the richest and will be lobbying to join the breakaway after the slightest bit of success.

The sport is futile and has been for years

I will savour every second of their downfall. Reckon their owners throw a wobbler soon and get off.

This league is designed to not allow Newcastles and Everton’s to succeed. That much is clear. And if it were any other club i would sympathise. But with these lot I can’t wait for the downfall. It will be glorious because these are the most deluded of the lot.

I mean it’s alright having a laugh at them fir some things, but not for PSR reasons.

It affects us all.

Obviously there needs to be something that stops clubs just buying success, but it can’t also create a totally closed shop either

For me I think the game needs a “luxury tax” whereby you CAN breach PSR, but the penalty is a fixed fine rather than points deductions etc

That would allow owners like TFG or the Saudis to overspend if they wanted to so long as they could factor in the fine amount (make it a percentage of the amount you go over maybe)

It’s less of a closed shop then

fines don't mean anything to the opec clubs. further, they have the money to fight prolonged court battles over years and decades. the fox was invited into the hen house, it only goes one way from here.

Bitter sweet for me this. Another example of the whole PSR debacle favouring the Sly sports and PL darlings. In hindsight no one should have objected to the horrible 6 leaving for the super league.
In no other universe could a club kill 39 people, have wankbudda, fantascruff, ticket robbers, coach smashers and a whole host of other crimes against them and still be favoured by the PL and Sly.

On the other hand, the Geordies have spent years creeping up to that lot at Monster mansion so they deserve all they get. I will take pleasure in their demise and I don't think there's another club out there who I would say that about. So long horse punchers.
