Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Unless I am missing something this shares statement is a bit of a none event. I would need to see the resolutions when they are filed at CH to see exactly what is going on but it could be as simple as the Company increasing there authorised share capital allowing further shares to be issued. As far as I understand putting money in through equity doesn't improve the PSR situation so we are still limited by that constraint. If equity was a work around every club would do it and spend as much as they wanted.

Nothing of what’s been done helps PSR.

@Nymzee
But from what I read last night. It does help, because if they had raised that £200mil via a loan , the interest would affect our PSR. I haven’t that much of clue how it works, just what I read

Im not on X but id imagine the “ citizens of suburbia “ will post something regarding and he’s very clued up on the finances

Not sure it’s a none event. Think it effectively helps with cash flow. Whilst it may not help with PSR (i don’t know if it does or doesn’t), it would allow us to offer more cash upfront which may make deals easier to get over the line.

Well I certainly dont think that. I caution against allowing owners to believe they can get away with seeing us that way: a listless club that nevertheless gets PL revenues that can service a debt so they can eventually sell us on at a profit a few years down the line.
Without Left back and Right winger in, this sentiment will be growing realisation. We have rather big and expensive transfer committee at Everton now, and if they can't see obvious gaping weaknesses in posistions let alone ability I'd be more worried that we just have another type of clown at the helm.

But they haven't actually raised anything yet.

Dave we are up against teams that can splash hundreds of millions on world class players without a blink of an eye and teams that know PSR is not for them but for the rest.
Newcastle demonstrate this better than anyone. They have owners who have more spending power than all of the other Premier League owners combined. But with PSR they can’t spend it. They could buy any player and offer any amount of wages but the rules do not allow it. This is how much the league is set up to prevent another Man City from upsetting the status quo.

It seems that if you were part of the sky 6 before Newcastle you can do what you want

Utd, city, RS and Chelsea do as they want

Newcastle must be fuming

“For TFG so loved Everton that they gave £200m, that whoever believes in them should not perish but have a medium to long term investment strategy.”
