Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

They have silverware ambitions that can be realised by Roma for more quickly than any for Everton. Silverware = status.

Outside this country the PL is seen for what it is: a bloated circus full of greedy football players from around the globe that garner's support for United and Liverpool mostly and where a club like Everton - if they dont invest in the team - will be lucky to pick up scraps.

As someone outside this country now Dave, I can say you are utterly wrong, the league is seen as the best in the world by a mile.

You are also deluded if you think investment short of around 2bn quid and a total waving of all regs will change that.

Look at how Newcastle - the richest club in the world are viewed

Silverware does equal statis though, so you think be owning the first Italian club to win a European trophy in twenty years was an easier achievement than getting an English club to win the LC or The same cup Moyes - and Roma won?

Because we're in the same group of clubs with Roma. Do you think all the clubs TFG own will be distinct from each other and have zero effect on each club's governance?
Given they have completely different managerial groups then... No Dave I do t think they distract at all as TFG are actually business people who appoint people to run their companies.

Maybe you'd rather have blue bill or suchlike, I'm guessing you would given your attitude.... Oh wait you moaned none stop didn't you.

Or maybe you'd like us to have a super wealthy Arab country owner, ..... Oh no you complained hugely about that also, human rights etc....

So who exactly would you like to own us Dave? I'm fascinated to know,

Those seasons were absolute dogs*e even if we didn't get relegated. I was very much upset it I guess barely surviving is good enough for you.
Yep, they were terrible seasons, really awful to watch. That is worth getting upset about, without having to make up an even worse scenario to get upset about.

Oh, and grow up. Just because someone doesn't catastrophise things doesn't mean they are elated. There are a million shades of grey inbetween

Yes, I think they are investing in both clubs in order to get a return on their investment. This only happens if they do actually invest into the football clubs.

With 5 weeks of the window left I've seen nothing to suggest they favour Roma more than Everton.

Do you have anything to back up your claims? Anything at all really.

rampant stupidity?
wild accusation?
pig ignorant conjecture?

all of the above?

Oh no, not yodavek!

Johnson - chased

Kenwright - forced to sell

Moshiri - forced to sell

Kenwright - chased

...it got us to a point where we now have new owners who have the chance to make us a success...and if they cant they'll be chased too.
Kenwright chased away? He underwhelmingly owned or was still significantly involved in club operations for like 30 years 😂

come again?

Moshiri & BK nearly bankrupted the club - Alleged fraudulent loans from a building firm that never existed - hidden money overseas - BK stated he needed a Billionaire he got an accountant & his backer was involved with Russian money - loads spent & wasted DOF loads of Managers all failed .....
Then tried to sell us to a very dodgy buyer - & you are finding fault with the current owners ????

Point deductions.....

Only BMD saved us - they have saved Goodison too ?

Give the new owners time to bed in - they have already invested heavily just to save our club IMO !

I am sure the signings will come hopefully too much panicking ATM ....

A masterful performance by @davek in here tonight. He's like a fella after carving the chicken grigging the cat to jump high enough to snatch it out of his hand.

And there's a load of cats...

Have to say, though, that while the wumming is of the highest quality, there's that hard kernel of truth at the centre of his best bait traps. Until these owners start wowing us with signings, why wouldn't people question their ambition? The default position of Evertonians should be skepticism. It's up to the Friedkins to disabuse us of it.
