Honestly dont get why anyone responds to dave. Just says whatever he thinks will get the best reaction, half the time completely contradicting stuff that he’s previously said. At lest chicos trolling is funny.

Everytime he starts it ends up dominating threads and he wins by making people react.

Not really. If i was responding to dave whilst saying it then it would be ironic. But i was referring to others pointlessly responding to him. There is no debate, all a wind up that gets you nowhere.

It's so so quiet, where are the signings? Come on Everton! So much work to be done and no links with any legs. I want to try and think that it's because we're air tight with our business but I don't think that's the case with modern football being as leaky as it is.

No debate about Dave at all. Yep, you're not remotely interested in getting into a debate about Dave. It's everyone else who should know how to play Dave like you do, not that you've given Dave a second thought coz you're not bothered about Dave.

Seeing what they did at Roma is no guideline to how they'll approach this club.

There's usually one principal club in multi-club ownership.

Until such time as we see TFG investing in our team the way they have at Roma the smart money is on viewing Everton as a subsidiary they can exploit.

Anyone who trusts this lot with zero evidence to bring to the table that they'll push us forward rather than keep us upright and used for Roma needs to have a word with themselves.

And anyone who thinks an owner of an Italian football team buys a premier League team in order to support that team is quite frankly paranoid

I am, you are the 1 who constantly brings Roma into things, so I was hoping you could help me understand why.

Because we're in the same group of clubs with Roma. Do you think all the clubs TFG own will be distinct from each other and have zero effect on each club's governance?

They have silverware ambitions that can be realised by Roma for more quickly than any for Everton. Silverware = status.

Outside this country the PL is seen for what it is: a bloated circus full of greedy football players from around the globe that garner's support for United and Liverpool mostly and where a club like Everton - if they dont invest in the team - will be lucky to pick up scraps.

No-one said we're a no mark club, Dave. One of only 6 ever-present Premier League clubs and more seasons in the top flight than any other club. We've had a long period of underachievement that's tarnished a proud and successful history and the way the game is now rigged for the richest clubs makes it really hard to get back to the very top. Even so, just over 10 years ago, one of the richest clubs in the world poached or manager and the next season, we just missed Champions League. Even in our deepest basket case phase, the best manager in history came here. Just built one of the best stadiums in Europe. New investment just been injected into the club. If anyone thinks we're a no-mark club, they're a tool who should be ignored.

Well I certainly dont think that. I caution against allowing owners to believe they can get away with seeing us that way: a listless club that nevertheless gets PL revenues that can service a debt so they can eventually sell us on at a profit a few years down the line.
