If he starts out there at first, it could be a blessing. It obviously allows Beto some faith shown in him, which is good for his morale imo.

It will probably happen that way, and it can ease him in especially pre-season, but I don’t like it. He will end up not getting an extended run up top, fail to score even a nice tap-in for ages, rumblings of discontent start. Etc etc.

It will be a pretty big black mark on TFG’s first big window if before Xmas we our regularly playing our new striker RW, a CB at RB, a no.10 often out wide, and Keano at any point up front, and Dwight LB.

Beto and Barry need to be fighting for the same spot. Barry getting any time out wide won’t be clever integration, it will a failure in our 472nd attempt to buy a RW to play RW.

Sick of buying players who have played 1% of their games in a certain position, and that’s where we play them from the moment they arrive.
