Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Yes. For the reason of expectations of a new era at Everton yet it feels exactly the same as always. So yes, it feels worse since during Moshiris reign you knew you were getting nothing or just weird decisions.

Will have to agree to disagree on that one. I think we’ll have a stronger squad this season than last season and we’ll have done it without selling a star player. If this transpires when was the last time we legitimately did that? Probably have to go back to Carlo’s summer window.

Also USA 🇺🇸 tour squad number news

NORBERTO BETO has chosen 9
THIERRY BARNO has plumped for 11

Means 14 is free for Takefuso Kubo 🙏🏻
🎶 Takefuso, tell me what's wrong
You're enchained by your own sorrow
In your eyes, there is no hope for tomorrow
How I hate to see you like this
There is no way you can deny it
I can see that you're oh, so sad, so quiet 🎶

Definitely not in trouble, the current squad wouldn’t be anywhere near relegation, but we do have a chance to push on after last years finish. How ironic after Bill never backing Moyes, for the new owners to do the same.

The current squad would be in a heap of trouble if we don’t add to it (I’m sure we will btw). Injuries aren’t some freak occurrence, they are a weekly inevitability.

Last season;
McNeil missed half of it
Mangala missed half of it
Broja missed half of it
Garner missed half of it
Chermiti missed half of it
Coleman missed nearly all of it
Branthwaite missed the start and end
Tarks missed the end
N’Diaye was out for a month or two
Lindstrom missed a month or two
Dom missed a month or two

That’s just from the top of my head. We probably had at least 5 players out every single week of the season. Currently we’d never cope with that.

Would you sooner have a Texan who’s never visited the city coming in and rescuing Everton from the precipice and providing a base from which to recover fully, or the likes of wander and Textor stalking us like vultures

I think that's been overplayed.

He may have taken on the debt and restructured it, but that'll be paid for by the fans if the club over time, and there's little evidence yet he's here to provide funds to make a more competitive team.
