Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

People in here are acting like it’s a given that we will secure our top targets later in the window. I’ve observed this exact circular debate go round every window for as long as I can remember and we seem to come out of every one weaker than we went into it. I need to see actual evidence that the people in charge know what they’re doing, the time for blind faith has been and gone for me.
I don't think we'll secure all of our top targets, purely by virtue of the fact we'll always be in for players that other teams are in for. I think we'll get the players we need on paper - a RW, RB, LB, etc. Whether they're the players we hope will always remain to be seen.

I was giddy when we signed Klaassen, Kean, Mina, etc, so I clearly haven't got a Scoob at the point of signing as to whether they're good enough or not. All part of the fun, innit?

You understand they aren't the same people?

And? So far I am waiting to see evidence that they are more competent than the people that came before them. If that happens I’ll hold my hands up, but I am certainly not going off blind faith and hope. In Moshiri’s first window I did that, and they ended up rewarding that faith with Yannick Bolasie, Ashley Williams and Enner Valencia on a deadline day panic loan.

I’ll believe we have competent people running the recruitment when I see evidence of competent recruitment.

Stop moaning.

Ever Banega is just about to get his fax on our offer from 17 years ago.

Sole people are never happy 😂

Which is the sensible thing to do and something everyone else SHOULD be doing also.

So who's the first to get injured out in the sweltering wastelands of the US of A?

Likely to happen as we'll be flogging the first 11 to death (it's ok though, because i hear we don't need anymore players yet)

Nailed on to be a winger. Everton don't do things by halves......

I'm with you pal on this, call it Everton PTSD, call it bed wetting. But my default starting position is ok then impress me and I'll trust you when you've delivered what's required. And i'm not talking super world £100 million football gods, just the basics needed for a competent premier league squad.

We'll just have to wait and see at the end of the window then won't we!

I'm pretty certain they are working on deals and judging by journalists close to the club they are, except it obviously isn't an easy task.

We want good players, these players want to be playing for clubs at the top of the league or if not they probably want loads of money thrown at them, which we won't be doing anymore and quite rightly.

We'll be waiting for players answers and as we've been awfully run for the last 4 years, we most likely won't be their first choice so it's a waiting game.

He scored 6 goals as Southampton finished bottom and then couldn’t get a game for Fulham.
He was injured at Fulham, but Silva wanted to keep him.

Southampton finished 15th while he was there, one place above us. They weren't relegated.

He was their second highest goalscorer behind Ward Prowse.

Stop making things up because you're getting yourself worked up about transfers.

You're not waiting, you're moaning non stop.

Oh my mistake, fair enough. WHAT a player in that case, and what a signing.
