Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

It’s ok to just have reasonable views without getting too negative or positive, or agitated even in disagreement, lads.

I dare say there’s a lot of posters on here who’d like to use this thread as a resource to catch up on transfers every day and see relevant posts to whom we’re linked with/signing rather than having to trawl through 60 pages of petty squabbling and repetitive arguments worded in marginally different ways. Especially when it’s essentially from fans who want the exact same thing, a successful Everton.

@GrandOldTeam there’s my application, give me the head mod power and I’ll fix this baby in no time.

Hang on what? I thought the longer we waited the better players we’d be able to get?
Who told you that? You guys really need to work on basic comprehension to avoid all this confusion. We should buy when our main targets become available at the right price for the right wages. If we buy before that we DEFINITELY won't get our main targets and end up with options which are way down our list of targets OR we will pay over the odds in terms of fees or wages. At the risk of inducing a damp sheet I'm afraid there are no guarantee we will end up with the players high up our list at the right price for the right wages regardless of what we do, but being patience for as long as the sheets are not completely sodden at least gives us a chance.

The long posts with 10+ likes explaining why it's silly to worry/panic aren't working anymore. I am concerned at this point. So much work needs to be done and I think we'll now be forced to cut some corners on a few underwhelming signings that aren't high on the list of targets.
You have no idea how much work has already been done. None whatsoever. You just need to wait and see.

So what you're saying is, we need a thread/post highlighter system for casual folk who want to dip in and out?

Moderators could highlight key posts, or a set reaction score (number of likes/wows etc) could also highlight. People could then click 'view highlighted' posts to see a quick summary of key posts?

A reputation system essentially, boss.

So what is the sweet spot where we can get our top targets? When does the Top Target transfer window open and close? Because if we buy too early then we get all the crap desperate panic buys, but also if we leave it too late then we end up with the crap desperate panic buys as well. Can you clarify when are the weeks of the window where I can safely assume Jack Harrison isn’t going to rock up?

Fingers crossed mate. I would love 4 big wow signings to come through the door. I think that's why i'm concerned now because I thought we would have already had 2 or 3 off those in with strong links to the others. Instead it's awfully quiet.

Yeah, it's either this thread or newsnow that I use.
For what it's worth you have my vote for your application
