I think the issue is that we all know there should have been more ins in an ideal world, it is the posters that state this fact EVERY post. There are a fair few that wallow so deep in it that they can barely talk about anything else. It is soul destroying tbh. When we do sign players they will disappear just like they do when they state we are getting relegated for 11 months a year, every year and we don't.

I’m getting close mate.
I’m normally quite level and don’t veer towards one of the 2 extremes but it does seem the club suck the joy out of everything.
I was looking forward to the new stadium, a few new players and a fresh start but it’s slowly diminishing day by day.

Probably true

But there’s also been times over the last few seasons where if you’d said to me Everton could put out:

Pickford

OBrien Tarkwoski Branthwaite Mykolenko

Garner Gueye Alcaraz

McNeil Barry Ndiaye

and be managed by David Moyes

Then I’d have empire bank account so I’m not quite ready to join the frenzy yet.

One injury to Branthwaite or Ndiaye though and it’s fume time.

“We can’t sign Kubo cos they need him for Japan tour”

Roll on the weekend when these excuses can get kicked in to touch. Wonder what the next ones will be next week? The USA tour is the obvious one.

We've been going since 2007 and we've had probably 10 worse summers than that since.

I think the squad we have now would be in a relegation fight myself.

Just as well we're able to spend, otherwise we'd be toast.

I get it mate, but equally there's a few who are making out like there's no concern at all.

I think we need to stop making excuses as a fan base.

Sure, we don't need to panic just yet, but we should all understand concern.

There won’t be any signings until after the women’s euro final imo.

The excuses being rolled out are hilarious....

Then we still have this same one the squad is the same as end of last season.

Anyhow, 26 days till first game and 23 days to get a player registered.

Based on typical Everton transfer activity, if we have 2 or more new players from today I will be very surprised.

The biggest annoyance that will come from me is if we're going into August throwing points away like we seem to do most seasons and proceed to play catch up.

If we do this you can kiss any sort proper season goodbye.

But us losing our head won't move the dial,also if we're aware of the complete lack of signings you can be sure Moyes,Kinnear and Hammond are hyper aware.
