Hey I didnt even mention sheets never mind the poor divils who have been stricken of all hope due to our great clubs recent history. Yes hope can cause pain if it doesnt materialise but its so much better than apathy or constant negativity. Sad to say it but we have nothing if we dont have hope and the new regime are not in place anywhere near long enough to strip me of my hope, in fact quite the opposite the recent backroom appointments have increased my levels of hope.
I certainly acknowledge those who are more concerned and the overly negative types and those who have become apathetic but by god I am clinging on to my hope with all I can at least for another few weeks!

I think we all hope it’ll work out, and like I say it might well do, it’s not beyond the realms of possibility by any means. I just think all the sniping by people who are totally not bothered at all (but are constantly in the transfer thread) and the bizarre arguments put forward as to why everything is ok (our 3rd choice keeper who’s never played higher than league one definitely counts so the numbers are fine?!) a bit much.

Personally think we will see 2-3 deals happening within a few days of each other and relatively soon also.

Think we are in negotiations on fees in certain cases now, yeah no media stuff really around about these but just a gut instinct.

Luiz, Mcatee, Kubo, lid from Bayern. And probably a couple the media haven't even had a sniff about.

Don't think much is leaking out the club now

Frustrating as it is posting that we only have 16 players and that we will lose all our pre season friendlies and first 3 games of the season every 15 minutes isn't overly helpful.

Honestly do you not think that Moyes and the recruitment team realise the urgency of the situation?

Perhaps I will ignore the thread until we've signed a couple more players and people have then decided that we will make the top 4 next season.

We have 16 senior players going into August, so no I wouldn’t consider that.

Just curious, how many times do you have to say that to get a valuation of £100m?

What urgency? There’s no urgency mate we have over 20 players in our squad and nobody else has done any business either and we’ve got Branthwaite tied to a new deal which could’ve been done at any point outside of the transfer window as well. What a summer we are having.

There is a time and place for winging. I could never understand it at Goodison when Kenwright was clapped to the rafters when his mug came on the big screen despite presiding over a complete mess for years.

Well…..it’s only a fact if you’re saying it as the clock turns from 23:59 on 31st July to 00:00 on the 1st August. As of right now it’s conjecture or a forecast. We’re still a week away from ‘heading’ into August.

Certain people seem intent on looking for problems , and sucking the life blood out of others.
We all want it sorting , but it's football - nobody has died.

Some of the talent that has come from those countries has been incredibly good you only have to look to the likes of Hakimi, Mahrez, Ziyech, Cherki, Ait-Nouri etc

I sincerely doubt that anyone at the club, least of all Moyes, is satisfied with the squad as is. We either choose to believe that our leadership is negligent and incompetent or we choose to believe that it is proving extremely difficult to find players who are willing to commit to us this early in the window at an economically sustainable fee and wage level when so many other clubs are still active in the market and interested in the same group of more sort after players. Everybody wishes this was going faster but we remain a long way down the list for most players and agents. That is going to take time to change. Uncomfortable. Reality often is.
