And it’s fine for you to think that, and you may well be right. As long as you acknowledge that the people who are a little more concerned have every reason to be based on what they’re used to seeing from Everton there’s really no issue at all, it’s just a difference of opinion. When you get into the realms of calling people bedwetters or making out like it’s really obvious why we haven’t done much business and you’d have to be an idiot to think we won’t end the window with everything we need, that’s when you start coming across like a bit of a bell.

Hey I didnt even mention sheets never mind the poor divils who have been stricken of all hope due to our great clubs recent history. Yes hope can cause pain if it doesnt materialise but its so much better than apathy or constant negativity. Sad to say it but we have nothing if we dont have hope and the new regime are not in place anywhere near long enough to strip me of my hope, in fact quite the opposite the recent backroom appointments have increased my levels of hope.
I certainly acknowledge those who are more concerned and the overly negative types and those who have become apathetic but by god I am clinging on to my hope with all I can at least for another few weeks!

They should never even be mentioned.

My point was we could overspend on a bunch of players we want and need but that doesn't mean it's a good deal. Overspending on trash is how we got into this position in the first place. We need to balance building sustainably

Obviously we would all have liked to have signed more players by now. But it's not that easy.
