Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Premier league is massive, every football fan in Europe knows who Everton are as well
100% mate…i might not follow the Italian/spanish/french league but i could name most of the teams and they get bugger all coverage.

The prem is the biggest league in the world…we might have been crap last few years but just being in the league ever present means we are know.

Players want to be here for the money and the prestige and to get a move to a ‘big 6’ team

So far we’ve tied down our best player to a long term contract, bought a 30 mill striker, made permanent a number 10, and spent actual money on a backup keeper.

Yes it’s not the perfect window yet but some of you are acting like you’ve never evertoned before.

Remember selling Yakubu and Saha and replacing them with Stracqualursi and Drenthe….on loan.

Or losing Ancelotti and James and investing 1.5 mill in Demarai Gray and Townsend on a free

There’s levels to transfer windows.

It's as predictable as anything watching, funny though if we'd signed 6-7 half those moaning would still be moaning we havent signed x

One of my favourite GIFs of all time this, the way Moshiri goes to clap then appears to forget how to gets me everytime.

Up there with the Crystanbul fan cam one where the fella in the red jacket and glasses looks like he’s suddenly remembered where he’s left his car keys.

RB, RW, CF, CMx2, a 10, LB.

Absolute minimum required.

None of them would be squad strengthening, they'd be almost guaranteed a lot of first team football.

Not sure about a CF Dave, - Beto doesn't miss games and neither has Barry so far in their careers - reckon any third striker assuming chermiti isn't gonna be it will see very limited playing time. Agree on the rest although do feel we will only bring in one fullback who can play both sides as cover.

Many of us hoped that this window would not be so Everton like. Credit to the club for what they’ve done so far but we’re heading to America with massive holes in the squad. You could argue we still need 3 players for the starting 11 never mind the other positions that need filling.

I swear some of you would give the window an 8/10 even if it closed tomorrow.

We need to drop the ‘Nil Saitis Nisi Optimum’ now tbh, it’s embarrassing.
if the window shut tomorrow I’d be both upset and angry . The fact that there are 4 weeks to our first game and about 6 (I think ) til it does means I’m fairly confident we’ll be getting players in.

We certainly need players and a fair few of them but I’m still not overly concerned at this minute , I suspect I’ll be rethinking that on a fairly regular basis mind.

We all are. We were warned by a few that with so many players needed, SOME of them wouldn’t be popular and low cost signings to help plug gaps as the budget wouldn’t stretch across what we needed to bring in. And we haven’t even got them!
Hence the return of Harrison maybe...

We're woefully short on both quality and quantity.

Anyone saying otherwise are in denial.

Time to start moaning is if we kick off at Leeds with the squad the way it is, doing so now kinda just feels like the purpose is the moan rather than it serving any real purpose of an opinion.

New owners, ALL of the old people involved are now completely out of the club with zero connection anymore. The manager has a history for using whatever he has to ensure he gets players in who are the best he's been able too, the owners have shown at Roma that they are willing to back a club they own financially out of their own pocket.

So just try to relax and worry if the time comes that it at least sounds like you arent hoping you're proved right so you can wallow in it.

I refuse to believe we will leave it here. Still plenty of time left in the window. While I am not a fan of waiting till the last minute to get bargain bin transfers, it is the reality for most teams in our situation. Not a fan of the "150 mil warchest" bullox, but if we get 2-3 more quality signings in, that is not too shabby. It's better to get them late than not at all I suppose. Just get them over the line

I don’t think anybody would be happy if the window closed today. That’s absurd.

Some of us are a little more calm and expect more to happen the closer we get to the deadline.

It would be ideal to have it done early and the players bedded in before Leeds. I don’t argue that at all.

I’m just not panicking in July.

I’m busy getting excited about Kubo. And as an Evertonian, I’m also convinced I’ll be heartbroken. Rinse and repeat until deadline day.
