Decisions, decisions.

The complicated part of signing a young talented player is trying to convince them to join a club he's never heard of that don't have European football.

We just need to put pictures of Chelsea's bench up at Finch Farm. Young talents will soon come around to the idea that if they sign for them, they won't be starting anytime soon. :dodgy:

The problem arises when they get told about Strasbourg...

I think you might be overthinking this, mate.

The premier league is such a huge attraction for talented young players, especially from the lesser leagues like Belgium, Holland and to a lesser extent, even France.

They see it as a chance to get their foot in the door to showcase their skills in arguably the best and most watched league in the world.

If young players who are at Champions league clubs like Club Brugge can leave for Sunderland then there’s absolutely no reason why they wouldn’t leave for Everton who are a consolidated premier league club and also bigger than Sunderland by every metric going.

Listening to the Byeline with Paddy Boyland he says a lot goin on behind the scenes but finding it hard to close deals.
But he also says he wont put out a name unless there is something in the rumour and the deal is progressing.
So the Aznou links should be taken as something is happening.

That's rich from him - the feller who dutifully reported the club's unsubstantiated accusations against fans over headlock gate.

He has integrity now though: he wont put out names if it's just rumour.

Thanks Paddy.
