Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Garner cannot do that mopping up for sure. Do you personally see a Prem seasoned player (whoever that might be) slotting in there and then a championship talented youngster as bzck up, potentially loaning Tim and Harrison out in the process as a potential solution?
Many appear to talk of Tim as a guaranteed squad member. A back-up for Gana even.

Unless I missed half of last season, watching a different Everton, he’s done nothing whatsoever to prove that he’s worthy of a place anywhere near the starting eleven.

(I’m still in the same place with Beto, but one battle at a time)

I did like the look of Tim in the early games, even though he gave the ball away a lot. He was a PSR transfer at the time tbf, he has had injuries too.

I do not think Moyes will play hom enough if we get the necessary midfield reinforcements in.

He may also be a late bloomer roo so a very decent champ loan would do him the world of good or even to the Dutch League to see whether he can step up and play consistent minutes at a decent level outside of a relegation dogfight.

Armstrong if he continues his upward trajectory should be ready next year at the latest for consistent minutes, so it would give Tim a goal to aim for if he has the desire to try and improve and cut out the unforced errors.

I would send him out on loan before Harrison Armstrong .... his injury has knocked his confidence needs game time - not with us - Garner needs to buck up too IMO ...

Moyes doesn't like your picks it seems....

I'm not Kevin Thelwell, buddy.

Elliott would play off the right - he showed at the U21 Euros that's his position, but he's slightly hamstrung at the RS due to Salah being guaranteed that spot.

Dislike the kid, but he's a great player.

Makes sense. Theres also Doak for the right.

I dont actually dislike him he's just a red and acts like one. I imagine a good few former greats if ours would be similarly disliked if they grew up in this social media age

He makes my skin crawl :)

Stick with zat then...

Again, I'm not Kevin Thelwell, buddy.

With villa being in Europe I dont see them being able to cope with adding even a third of his wages mate.

I also think Forrest are gonna be in trouble in terms of those regulations - they had e a huge squad and even though they aren't paying huge wages it all adds up.

Forrest Gump?

Never sign a player that isn’t sure if he wants to come to us. We only want hungry players.

Is the lemon drizzle cake back?

Sources don’t exactly seem top tier but I need rumours no matter how obscure…

18 year old centre back, Veljko Milosavljević. The article says Celtic had a bid of 6m euro turned down but now Everton have made a satisfactory offer that is being considered.

Sounds made up but what do I know…

Great spot this ;)

He was linked a few weeks back too, and I saw some discussion on him on a Serbian fans forum and we were mentioned. I thought it was too nerdy and obscure to post. :)

Yeah linked a few times now.

This is the type of signing to get excited about. I think theres also a Serbian midfielder who has been linked as well but cant remember his name.

Translated version

Red Star collected 19,000,000 from the sale of Andrija Maksimović and Lazar Jovanović to German clubs this summer, and another young player could soon leave, to the English Premier League.

This is the defender Veljko Milosavljević, who got a great chance during the spring due to the departure of more experienced players and was a member of the starting lineup.

According to "MaxBet Sport", a satisfactory offer from Everton arrived at the Marakana, but it is still being weighed whether to accept it or keep the young defender.

The English club also had its representative at the first round of the Super League match against Javor, who watched the young Serbian national team player.

Everton are in no rush to make a move, but they would not want to lose the race for the 18-year-old centre-back to another island team – Scottish Celtic, and both teams have been fighting for him for some time.

Celtic's offer of €6,000,000, plus additional bonuses, has already been rejected, so it is clear that the English Caramel have offered
a higher amount.

English Caramel 😝
What did they call us when we were after Yarmolenko all those years ago? Butterscotches?

Gana has been like that most of his career. However, he was much more disciplined, positionally, last season.

Perhaps Garner isn’t a box to box midfielder and that’s why you get many vanilla performances from him there. But he’s not an advanced midfielder in the prem, he is not aggressive enough.

He’s 24 now, big season for him to show more than we’ve seen.
Garner isn’t a box to box midfielder, you’ve hit the nail on the head.

Gana was (and is) much better than Garner. If Gana was such a liability to the team, then why did his team mates vote him as players player of the year?

Or do the actual players not have your insight.

If gana was so good last season how come the only team intrested in him on a free was a newly promoted french side?

No credible links anywhere and we're about to jet off on a week-long tournament in the US, after which there are just two weeks until the season starts.

There is absolutely no way our second or third choice options are consistently turning us down, not when we pay an above average Premier League salary and are moving into an amazing new stadium.

Can only assume there is chaos behind the scenes with too many voices contributing towards the recruitment process—who'd have thought that?
