Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Loan Chermiti out and have him as 3rd choice CF. If he looks like he has recovered from his injury, then I wouldn’t be crying about it.

Think he left West Ham due to wanting similar money to what he was on which was a good wedge. He's around 35 now too i think.

Agree that Chermiti needs a loan for sure though

It’s why we need more mobility in the deeper lying midfield positions. If Mcatee is at 10 flanked by Ndiaye and a right winger, we have the same issue we had at start of last season when McNeil was there and the midfield was being ran though.

Garner and Gueye aren’t strong enough as a two when Doucoure wasn’t dropping back. Both need upgrading ideally so they become the bench options
Yup it's why Luiz would be a very good addition. He'd push out Garner I'm guessing. Kubo incidentally is similar imo to Ndiaye, hard working and will get back etc but not the most physical.

Ideally we need two CMS and o e of those being a good physical presence (a Carsley type actually)

We all hope he'll be able to do it. He's looked decent on his loan spell at Derby but we shouldn't be betting the farm on a teenager with limited first team experience being the answer to our midfield problems. We put too much pressure on these young homegrown lads and then turn on them when they don't turn out to be as good as we hoped.

Like to see all three of him, Chermiti and Tim getting a loan out to a decent Dutch side to get them minutes in a different environment to the typical championship loan deal.
