Player Valuation: £80m
To be fair, I did say the price was £40M a few weeks back but I got laughed off here by people citing comedy aggregator sites.
With the prices we've seen 40m is not extortionate

…I just think he’ll end up going where he most wants to go. The power is with players these days, especially those in demand. I expect that lots of what’s being posted on social media is wide of the mark anyway.
Here’s the Guardian James McAtee article says city wants £35m and that Forest are unlikely to reach that amount. Also, zero mention of us despite his ‘meeting’ last week.

Because we don't do sensible. Why don’t we try and sign this other geezer that Forest want instead/as well. Actually seems more like what we need.
Think it depends if the team is willing to wait till city meets their valuation of the player. Or wheather they move on to another target.
But if mcatee desired team is willing to wait. Then you're right they'll get their man
I know this isn't going to change your perspective mate, but I simply fail to see how you consider that EFC can use the same negotiating tactics as an Aresnal or a Man United. The clue is in 'if they are not interested part'. According to rumours, these players, Luiz and McAtee are weighing up their options or basically waiting for better offers. In this case then yes...
It was clear from day 1 that both Gyokeres and Mbuemo wanted to join the respective clubs and those clubs will have known this.

One year left on the contract no way they get 40M.With the prices we've seen 40m is not extortionate
Tbf you kept saying this in January too.I'll be surprised if Mcatee isn't an Everton player by the end of this month.
If he turned into prime Cole Palmer. With the prices we've seen 40m is not extortionate
I don't... it wasn't me who compared the situations, I just responded to the post.I know this isn't going to change your perspective mate, but I simply fail to see how you consider that EFC can use the same negotiating tactics as an Aresnal or a Man United.
If Arsenal come calling for McAtee today, he most likely goes; if we do, he most likely waits to see if Arsenal come in. Unless he out-and-out turns us down on the spot, that shouldn't make him any less attractive to us such that we'd not hold out for him and move on to a less-valued target.
Ah well we tried.
kudos to you for your spelling wizardryI’m not picking on you here mate but it’s a real pet hate of mine this, especially when you watch Soccer Saturday on occasion.
The fella’s name is Kudus, not Kudos!
Based on Everton rumours you’d think there are only about 5 players we can sign.
The actual pool of eligible players will be in the hundreds if not more.
We should follow Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth, Forest, Wolves etc. and widen our net beyond Manchester City’s reserves.
