Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

We will have to agree to disagree here, because I think that's the blue-tinted glasses.

Players want to play at the highest level possible (and be paid as much as they can). Forest are in Europe, we finished 13th.

If you're a footballer, I would expect that European football trumps a new, shiny stadium.

Forest had one good season, you honestly think that suddenly makes a huge difference? They are now losing their two best players as a result, they also basically fell apart last 15 games last season and arguably got found out big time. They have one of the worst grounds in the league. And they don't pay massive wages, Branthwaite and Pickford are both on considerably more than anyone at Forrest.

We will finish above Forrest this season.

And nope, I do t go early think playing on the Europa league is that big a draw actually, CL - yes, but Forrest aren't in it

I genuinely dont understand the issue people are having here.

Were not getting relegated and the peoe who are moaning about signings dont think were getting Europe.

So what are people worried about if we get the players in at the start of the window or the end?

Oh, no were going to finish 13th instead of 11th? Who cares!

The team and more importantly the club is in the process of a massive rebuild and we as fans need to he patient for the next two years imo. If that means we have to wait till august 31st to get the players we want then so be it.
We’re not getting relegated, ah that’s okay then. Jeez.

Yeah the old 'can't be any worse' argument always falls down here, because people are only basing it on the most basic of metrics and not taking anything more than that into account.

The fact players like Harrison and Lindstrom struggled so much shows how difficult it is to play in the premier league.

Saying we are stronger because they're both gone and we have two random youngsters is idiotic.

They both need replacing. As does Doucoure, as does Mangala.

Alcaraz is better than Doucoure and McNeil even though poor on the right is better than Harrison there.

The first 11 isn't weaker it's pretty much the same level. Not factoring in Barry who may or may not start.

Squad is weaker but it obviously would be losing around 11 players including loans
I agree and would argue that Armstrong, Barry and Travers are better than what we had on the bench last season

Basically backs up what I said earlier

I genuinely dont understand the issue people are having here.

Oh, no were going to finish 13th instead of 11th? Who cares!

The team and more importantly the club is in the process of a massive rebuild and we as fans need to he patient for the next two years imo. If that means we have to wait till august 31st to get the players we want then so be it.

Absolute drivel.

As things stand, Sunderland, Leeds and Burnley are more equipped to deal with a full premier league season than we are.

if we don’t sign any players and the likes of Branthwaite and Ndiaye get injured then yeah we have a good chance of relegation

theres no obvious candidates outside the bottom 3, we can easily get sucked into that if we don’t bolster the squad
