So yes we are weaker than last season in both team and squad.

Alcaraz is better than Doucoure and McNeil even though poor on the right is better than Harrison there.

The first 11 isn't weaker it's pretty much the same level. Not factoring in Barry who may or may not start.

Squad is weaker but it obviously would be losing around 11 players including loans

If you have a basketball squad of 5 players that are 7 foot, and 2 players that are 3 foot, if you sack the two midgets the squad is smaller but is it weaker?

If you replace the midgets with absolutely nobody then yes of course it is?

You do know we are two seperate clubs with completely different recruitment teams and TFG don't get involved in day to day running of football side stuff mate?

Yea and cos Doucoure was here he wasn't starting , so I'd say Doucoure leaving made our starting 11 slightly better

No idea if there was anything to it, but I saw somewhere that Panathinaikos just wanted to hang onto Vagiannidis until after the second leg of their qualifier against Rangers - that's not till Wednesday 30th.

These early friendlies have done us a favour really. We still have a few weeks before the season starts and so hopefully we will be busy and get a few players in and will be stronger than last season.

Think it's completely dead on all fronts really.....

Only real links were Luiz and Mcatee.... both seem to be waiting on / wanting other offers, and can you blame them?

Then the other one it seems everyone is pinning their hopes on is loose links to Kubo and waiting for him to come back off tour in a weeks time. Expect we haven't even discussed anything with him or are still preparing a bid.

When he turns round and says everton who.... then we are in trouble, as there will be 0 back-up.
