When Ferguson inevitably signs, Roma will still have signed one less player than Everton so far in this window
Oh i noticed after I posted, spotted that Ferguson officially signed on loan too it's on their Instagram. I get the frustration as we have more gaps to fill but it's the constant miasma and irate diatribes claiming the window is a failure already that are getting to me. I really feel the signings will happen but maybe I'm naive

He's a troubled soul, ignore his posts.

I know you rate him highly and posted about wanting him ages ago.

He's not a coup though.

Kanchelskis was a coup. Gary Speed was a coup.

I think McAtee could be a good signing, same with Luiz.

A coup? Not for me.

John McGinn -- if that doesnt tell us that Moyes is in control of transfers, i dont know what does.

Theres no other word other than disgust.

Villareal fans believe we overpaid. People who have watched him think weve overpaid.

I think he looks a good high potential signing, even i think weve overpaid.

He could end up a bargain, but weve overpaid.

As for the keeper...hes never had anyone sign him as first choice. There was no competition for the signing.

Maybe hes going to be an effective backup.

I reckon we'd have found better.

You can take this 2 ways really.

It appears as though weve enquired for:

Douglas Luiz & McGinn

That tells us Moyes wants a player who can hit the ground running and replace Garner.

Both players were good and yet seemed on their way downhill last season (according to their own teams fans).

So on the one hand Moyes wants a short term signing to push us up the table.

On the other hand hes not exactly prioritising building a team when going for a near 31 year old dog in McGinn.

You'd guess either player would be £30mil ish. If we've not made an actual offer for either...

...are we making offers elsewhere?
Yawn!

The club isn't going to win many new fans in the US when we're bummed in three games because we've only got half a squad.
yea am hoping that the Friedkins leverage on the US tour, and unveil new signings before or on that tour.

if they were planning to even show up at a game or two there, surely they don't want to be embarrassed on their home soil.

anyway I'd take new investment in signings anytime over their attendance
