Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

If you think it's a red flag then you're paranoid.

Let's see first game at the new ground eh.

This will be unpopular, but them not being around is probably a good sign. Mike Ashley used to go to games in a Newcastle shirt. The world's biggest blue turned up every week, until we needed the supporters most then found his excuses not to attend.

Serious business people put people into positions to run the club. They don't involve themselves with the day to day detail of a business. If it's not going well, they hold the people they have installed to account.

Seems to be the underlying reason, not an excuse.

Not surprising either. We're at the bottom of a hill which is getting steeper year on year. However, for the first time in a decade we have a clear path. It will take time and at the moment we're not an attractive proposition for players coming from or looking to get into European competition - or to win something.

Recruitment is likely to be hungry youngsters, the cream of the Championship, promising overseas talent (as with Barry). The players are there; Brighton, Wolves, Bournemouth, Brentford all have been able to find them and sell them on to build and develop. This is the way. I hope our new analytics team know what they're doing...

Good post mate. A couple of bits from me. Firstly not sure Wolves recruitment has been so great.

Aside from that, we are a good sell, but it's up to the people tasked with that too deliver. If they can't, we should find people who can.

Lest we forget.

Remembering the fallen heroes.

Same old same old: starting the first few games of the season hobbled by hardly any signings.
We will be stronger come the first game of the season.

If we are not then there will be serious question marks about the new owners.
Until that day arrives i still believe we will get 80% of our business done before the season kicks off. (2 starters CM RW + 2 squad players
