Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Lads Everton are absolutely tiny compared to the footballing institution you think they are in your heads. Three decades without a touch of a trophy, four years circling the drain at the bottom of the league, no European footie to offer. Most foreign footballers have only a passive knowledge of Everton in the same way we know little about Espanyol.

Demanding NSNO isn’t a Jedi mind trick that instantly transforms the club into a time portal to April 1984. We got ourselves in this current situation by hasty untamed ego spending, the way we get out of it is good strategy executed methodically. That’s gonna take some patience and dry crotches.
Never been more rigid in my life than I am after reading this.

Just because this is your opinion, it does not make it right. Probably neither is mine.

But I’d rather be “positive me” any day of the week. Even if it is blind optimism, it is so much more healthy.

I'm not saying otherwise. All i am saying is that "so far" this window has been a failure in my eyes.

Backup keeper £4mil
Loan players clause triggered £12mil
Rotation forward £27.5mil++

I think on the 20th of July we can consider this to have been at best massively underwhelming and ineffective.

Moyes did turn a bottom 5 team into a team with top 8 form is the point.

Then the squad was decimated and multiple positions needed strengthening.

Which is clearly different to Roma.

What fee did Bayern go up to? Wasnt it €40mil+ Stuttgart wanted after the tournament lol

Its crazy that you think the only players we are interested in are the names reported.

Utterly mental.

Ive not said this.

Not sure why you 'always' seem to misinterpret posts for a wind up or cheap insult.

Its quite clear that 2 players (McGinn & Luiz) have been enquired about.

We should be enquiring for many others...for each position.

If we are, where are the signings?

Key word there being apparently

Depends if you believe the 'apparent' tier 1 sources. E.g Percy, Bobble and Joyce etc.

Nah you can’t call it a failure until you see how it pans out. If we announce luiz kubo and vagiannidis this afternoon you can’t say the window was a failure up to that point but no longer is, that’s ridiculous.

You can be disappointed by what’s happened so far and doubt that we’ll end up having a successful window, but we can’t actually judge it at this point.
I'm confused with the logic of some posters on here when they say we haven't improved the squad, when we have signed a potential new no.1 striker and signed our starting CAM aswell, yes we need to more but surely those two additions improve our options as it stands?

We are never going to be a top choice for the players we are seemingly targeting. There are probably about eight clubs who are now seen as more attractive than us and a further four to five club who are in our current peer group based on recent PL finishes.

We are like an overweight balding guy, whose best years are behind drunk on the dance floor, still thinking he can pull one of the fittest girls in the club. By all means be ambitious for players, but be practical as well. Timing is essential - don’t leave it until ten
The transfer window is basically the Coconut Grove

Aye, just spent £40m on a ST and attacking mid but let’s go spend the rest of our budget on Woltemade 😂 Everton transfer rumours get worse by the day.

Just searched online

Bayern last bid €55mil
Stuttgart asking €80mil

Enter David Moyes to 'make an enquiry'.
