Depends how you define bulk I suppose. We’ve lost 3 players who contributed under Moyes, one who we hated and another who was nearly 40. Signed a striker. Secured Alcaraz. Harrison Armstrong looks ready. Better back up goalie. Branthwaite signs. Weeks of the window left. Loan slots still to fill. Not making panic signings. Let it play out

Agree, Dortmund and Forest is in for McAtee, strike that one off....

Forest, Man Utd and Fulham in for Luiz, my as well strike that one off too.

He's not a coup though.

Kanchelskis was a coup. Gary Speed was a coup.

I think McAtee could be a good signing, same with Luiz.

Villareal fans believe we overpaid. People who have watched him think weve overpaid.

I think he looks a good high potential signing, even i think weve overpaid.

He could end up a bargain, but weve overpaid.

As for the keeper...hes never had anyone sign him as first choice. There was no competition for the signing.

Maybe hes going to be an effective backup.

I reckon we'd have found better.

Others have tried to make it into an active pursuit, often originating from sources known to do Juve’s bidding, when it appears not to be the case. Now someone spins it as Luiz waiting for a better option when right now we are not an option at all.

As with news, politics/economics, medicine/science/environment etc. it is important to figure out which sources are trustworthy and filter out the rest. It really does reduce personal stress and fume substantially.

You can take this 2 ways really.

It appears as though weve enquired for:

Douglas Luiz & McGinn

That tells us Moyes wants a player who can hit the ground running and replace Garner.

Both players were good and yet seemed on their way downhill last season (according to their own teams fans).

So on the one hand Moyes wants a short term signing to push us up the table.

On the other hand hes not exactly prioritising building a team when going for a near 31 year old dog in McGinn.

You'd guess either player would be £30mil ish. If we've not made an actual offer for either...

...are we making offers elsewhere?
