Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

The Wanderer... returns. Richarlison?

Or this link from 2023? A Spanish second division player.

Or probably just lad who scored against us yesterday...
I mean he’s definitely just blurted the name of the player who had just scored into the transfer thread but I would happily bypass the paywall on an in depth Athletic investigative long read on why he chose to do so.

I am happy with the window so far because realistically we have strengthen the team and we will see the benefits of a strong pre-season in the US.

Obviously I would have LOVED to have all the signings done and ready but that's not realistic.

Barry will instantly give the squad and fans a boost and seeing a more experienced and Armstrong in first team is also a huge boost.

Remember it's pre-season, these games don't count. It's a training exercise like a work course. The proof will be when the season starts.

If we could complete a signing or two before our US Tour that would be perfect but for now, keep a calm head and enjoy your summer Blues.

Those ludes you’re on must be good

You mean that mess of a squad that moyes won a European trophy with, got into Europe every season but his last where he got 9th and to the quarter finals of the Europa league (getting knocked out by leverkuson).

Moyes didnt leave west ham in a mess. West ham did what they always do and sacrifice success for the mythical "west ham style of play" and got a garbage manager in who turned them into relegation fodder.

A team is only as good as the manager. Hence why dyche had us looking like we were getting relegated. Then moyes with the same team got us 4 less points then the league champions.

You seem to enjoy a little rant without making any salient points, only asking questions or making irrelevant comments.

I clearly know the point I am making (actually a fact) while you seem to need to actually do some research.

Others have posted the signings Moyes made at West Ham and the starting and ending squads showing his mess. I suggest you look at them before another rant.

Tbh i think kubo is probably our third choice RW option.

As apparently we were after bakayoko and activated conceicao's release clause. So it feels like we are moving down the list of right wingers.

With the likes of mcatee and luiz, i think people need to understand that these players have plenty of options. So if they're the players we want were going to have to wait fot them to decide where their going (hopefully us).

Id rather wait to get the right player in then end up with another maupay just because their available right now.

You're classing Kubo as "probably our third choice RW option" based on nothing more than media gossip and your own interpretation of known poorly ranked sources.

The ONLY information worth taking onboard is that of tier 1 sources or that which is corroborated across multiple journalists.

Regarding your comment on two players:

"With the likes of mcatee and luiz, i think people need to understand that these players have plenty of options"

--those very same media gossipers have said that there has been NO BID for either player.

Perhaps YOU "need to understand" something?

I’ve spent far too much time (or too little?) on this DION clue today.

What if the N is silent and it’s actually DIO?
Well that could relate to Ronnie James Dio, a heavy metal singer of Italian descent.
An Italian football team is Juventus
A player from that team is Douglas Luiz.

It’s (di)on!!!
waayyyyyy ahead of you.

I got pretty excited about the Hackney and Jashari links. Those feel exactly like the young passing midfielders that would be a great fit for us now with the potential to get better.

Both City and Sheffield on there. He's a weird one for me because almost all of his senior minutes have been either on a generationally awful team which makes most players look bad, or coming on as a sub for City which will massively inflate what a player does. You have to have a truly elite eye-test scout to figure out how good he really is probably!

Sorry this won't load up for me but worth looking up.
It's just a highlights reel but you can clearly see how he plays , front foot carrying the ball until an opening or pass is on. Got a great engine too.
